Sweet and Tangy Meatloaf

An old-school entrée favorite with a sweet and tangy twist!

Ingredients

  • 1 pound Simple Truth Organic™ Ground Beef 85/15
  • 1/2 pound ground pork
  • 1/2 white onion, chopped
  • 1 egg
  • 1 1/2 cups cups breadcrumbs, plus more if needed
  • 4 ounces Simple Truth™ Uncured Smoked Ham, finely chopped (about 1 cup)
  • 1/4 cup Simple Truth Organic™ Ketchup
  • 1/4 cup brown sugar, firmly packed
  • 1/4 cup Simple Truth Organic™ Maple Syrup
  • 2 tablespoons Worcestershire sauce
  • 8 ounces tomato sauce
  • 2 slices bacon

Directions

  • Preheat oven to 375°F.
  • In a large bowl, stir together all ingredient except tomato sauce and bacon until just combined.
  • Shape mixture into a loaf; place in an aluminum foil-lined broiler pan.
  • Pour tomato sauce evenly over meatloaf and arrange bacon slices on top.
  • Bake for 1 hour or until cooked through. Let stand 10 minutes. Slice and serve.
