Snickerdoodles

A silly name for a seriously good cookie. This is a great choice for making with kids. My little brother's favorite!

Ingredients

  • 1 cup shortening
  • 1 1/2 cups sugar, plus 2 tbsp, divided
  • 2 large eggs
  • 2 3/4 cups flour
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • 2 teaspoons cream of tartar
  • 1/2 teaspoon sea salt
  • 2 teaspoons ground cinnamon

Directions

  • Preheat oven to 375°F.
  • Beat together the shortening and 1 1/2 cups sugar. Beat in the eggs, one at a time. Sift together the flour, baking soda, cream of tartar and salt; add to the shortening mixture.
