Pumpkin Pasta Sauce

- 1 cup pumpkin purée
- 2 cups chicken broth
- 1 cup heavy cream
- 1 tsp. nutmeg
- 1⁄4 cup chopped fresh sage
- Place the pumpkin and the broth in a saucepan and simmer over medium heat until slightly thickened.
- Add the cream and the nutmeg. Blend and simmer without allowing the sauce to boil until reduced by a third, about 10 minutes.
- Stir in the fresh sage. Serve over hot cooked pasta with fresh ground pepper.
