Good Luck Pork and Wonton Soup
This soup has it all…pork, greens and dumplings, which all signify good luck. Serve immediately after cooking or the dumplings will soak up all the soup liquid.

- 1 piece (2”) fresh ginger
- 3 cloves garlic
- 2 tablespoons reduced-sodium soy sauce
- 1 tablespoon sesame oil
- 1 container (32 oz.) Kroger® Chicken Broth
- 8 ounces Kroger® Ground Pork
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- 1/8 teaspoon pepper
- 25 wonton wrappers
- 1 package (6 oz.) Kroger® Baby Spinach
- 2 scallions, chopped
- Peel and grate the ginger. Mince the garlic. Add both ginger and garlic to a small bowl, combining with soy sauce and sesame oil.
- In a medium pot, bring chicken broth to a boil on high heat. Stir in half of the soy sauce mixture.
- Meanwhile, in a medium bowl, combine remaining soy sauce mixture with ground pork. Season with salt and pepper.
- Place filling in the center of 1 wrap and dampen edges with water. Fold wonton wrapper in half diagonally, pressing edges to seal. Repeat with remaining pork filling and wrappers.
- Gently add wontons to boiling broth. Cover with lid and reduce heat to low. Cook until pork in wontons is fulling cooked, 10 minutes.
- Remove from the heat and stir in the spinach until wilted. Garnish with scallions to serve.
