In the original Ghostbusters, after losing their cushy position at a New York City university, the members of a scientific team strike out on their own to wage high-tech battle with supernatural foes as “ghost busters” for hire. When they stumble upon a gateway to another dimension, an unspeakable evil is loosed upon the Big Apple. In Ghostbusters II, the hero ghost busting team is disbanded for demolishing parts of New York City. But when Ghostbuster Peter Venkman learns that spirits have taken an interest in his son, the team must reunite in a rogue ghost-chasing mission.
