Gourmet Pigs in a Blanket

Ingredients:

  • 1 package (14 oz.) Private Selection™ Smoked Sausage, cut into 10 2” pieces
  • 1 egg
  • 1 Tbsp. water
  • 1 sheet crescent rolls
  • Private Selection™ Poppy Seeds
  • Private Selection™ Mustard, optional
Gourmet Pigs in a Blanket

Ingredients:

  • 1 package (14 oz.) Private Selection™ Smoked Sausage, cut into 10 2” pieces
  • 1 egg
  • 1 Tbsp. water
  • 1 sheet crescent rolls
  • Private Selection™ Poppy Seeds
  • Private Selection™ Mustard, optional

Directions:

  • Position rack in center of oven and preheat to 400°F. Line baking sheet with parchment paper.
  • In small bowl, beat egg with water. Set aside.
  • With short side of puff pastry facing you, lightly roll into 10”x12” rectangle. Cut into 5, 2”-wide strips; halve each strip to make 10, 2”-wide strips. Brush with half egg wash.
  • Set sausage piece at top of strip, then roll. Place on baking sheet seam-side down. Repeat with remaining sausage and strips. Brush rolls with remaining egg wash; sprinkle with poppy seeds. (Rolls may be assembled and refrigerated up to 2 hours in advance.)
  • Bake 20-25 minutes or until inside reaches safe internal temperature of 165°F.

Hot Italian Sliders

Ingredients:

  • 2 packages slider buns, split horizontally
  • 20 slices provolone cheese
  • 12 oz. thin sliced smoked ham
  • 4 oz. thin sliced pepperoni
  • 4 oz. thin sliced genoa salami
  • 1 jar (16 oz.) Italian mix giardiniera, drained and roughly chopped
  • ¼ cup butter, melted
  • ½ tsp. dried Italian herbs
  • ¼ tsp. garlic powder
Hot Italian Sliders

Ingredients:

  • 2 packages slider buns, split horizontally
  • 20 slices provolone cheese
  • 12 oz. thin sliced smoked ham
  • 4 oz. thin sliced pepperoni
  • 4 oz. thin sliced genoa salami
  • 1 jar (16 oz.) Italian mix giardiniera, drained and roughly chopped
  • ¼ cup butter, melted
  • ½ tsp. dried Italian herbs
  • ¼ tsp. garlic powder

Directions:

  1. On lightly sprayed 11”x17” rimmed baking pan, arrange bottom half of rolls. Layer 10 slices cheese, meats, remaining cheese and giardiniera. Cover with top of rolls.
  2. Preheat oven to 350°F. Mix together butter, herbs and garlic. Brush butter mixture over top of rolls; cover pan with aluminum foil.
  3. Bake 15 minutes. Uncover and continue baking 10-15 minutes, until cheese is melted and buns are crisp. Cut into individual sandwiches before serving.

Mini Caprese Phyllo Cups

Ingredients:

  • 6 oz. fresh mozzarella cheese, crumbled
  • 6 oz. grape or cherry tomatoes, sliced
  • 2 Tbsp. olive oil
  • 1 Tbsp. fresh basil leaves, torn
  • 2 boxes (1.9 oz. each) frozen miniature phyllo shells (30 shells)
  • Sea salt flakes, to taste
  • Freshly ground pepper, to taste

Directions:

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F.
  2. In large bowl, combine cheese, tomatoes, oil and basil; toss gently to combine.
  3. Arrange phyllo shells on a baking sheet. Fill each shell with about 1 tablespoon cheese mixture. Sprinkle each with a few salt flakes and the pepper.
  4. Bake phyllo cups 8-10 minutes until heated through.

Ingredients:

  • 1 green bell pepper, cut into 2” wedges
  • 1 red bell pepper, cut into 2” wedges
  • 1 orange bell pepper, cut into 2” wedges
  • 1 yellow bell pepper, cut into 2” wedges
  • 3 Tbsp. olive oil, divided
  • ½ tsp. ground cumin
  • ½ tsp. chili powder
  • ¼ tsp. garlic powder
  • ½ tsp. salt

  • ¼ tsp. ground pepper
  • ½ cup yellow onion, chopped
  • 1 lb. 90% lean ground beef
  • 1 cup cooked rice
  • 1 cup Monterey Jack cheese, shredded
  • 1 cup cheddar cheese, shredded
  • 1 cup guacamole
  • 1 cup salsa
  • ½ cup sour cream

  3. In medium skillet over medium heat, add 1 tablespoon olive oil. Sauté onion until tender. Add ground beef; crumble until cooked.
  4. Spoon ground beef over bell peppers. Spoon rice over ground beef. Sprinkle cheeses over. Bake 10-12 minutes, until cheese is melted. Top with guacamole, salsa and sour cream.

Ingredients:

  • 8 oz. crusty Italian bread, cut into ¼”-thick slices
  • 2 Tbsp. olive oil
  • ½ tsp. salt
  • ¼ tsp. ground black pepper
  • 1 cup ricotta cheese
  • ¼ cup Private Selection™ Basil Pesto
  • 6 oz. Private Selection™ Genoa Salami
  • 8 oz. sugar snap peas
  • 1 red or orange bell pepper, cut into thick strips
Italian Pesto Snack Board

Ingredients:

  • 8 oz. crusty Italian bread, cut into ¼”-thick slices
  • 2 Tbsp. olive oil
  • ½ tsp. salt
  • ¼ tsp. ground black pepper
  • 1 cup ricotta cheese
  • ¼ cup Private Selection™ Basil Pesto
  • 6 oz. Private Selection™ Genoa Salami
  • 8 oz. sugar snap peas
  • 1 red or orange bell pepper, cut into thick strips

Directions:

  1. Preheat oven to 400°F.
  2. Brush baking sheet with enough olive oil to coat lightly. Arrange bread slices in single layer. Brush with remaining olive oil; season with salt and pepper.
  3. Bake 10-12 minutes or until lightly browned and crisp.
  4. Meanwhile, stir together ricotta cheese and pesto. Transfer to serving bowl.
  5. Arrange toasted bread, salami, vegetables and ricotta dip on serving platter.
