My Mom made sausage balls when I was little, it was my brother's favorite!
- 2/3 Cup Fresh Apple, peeled, cored and coarsely grated
- 1 Pound Pork Sausage
- 1 Cup Biscuit Mix
- 2 Cups Cheddar Cheese, shredded
- 1/2 Teaspoon Cinnamon
- 1/4 Cup Pecans, toasted
- To toast pecans, stir constantly in a small dry skillet over medium-high heat for 3 minutes, or until lightly browned.
- Preheat oven to 375° F. Combine all ingredients in a large mixing bowl; stir well. Form into 1" balls. Place on ungreased baking sheet; bake 18-20 minutes or until golden brown. Remove from oven; cool 5 minutes before removing from pan. Serve warm.
