4 steps to a weed-free lawn!

Here's all you do to rid your lawn of those dandelions and broadleaf weeds, using Fred Meyer Weed & Feed 26-3-3:

1. Let the lawn grow out to about its normal cutting point.
2. Water the lawn thoroughly first.
3. While the lawn is moist, apply Fred Meyer Weed & Feed.
4. Don't water for 36-48 hours after application. Then resume normal watering and mowing. This time of year…check the weather reports for rain!

For best results, use Fred Meyer Weed & Feed now through May when weeds are young, tender and easy to control.

Fred Meyer Weed & Feed is an excellent fertilizer as well as a broadleaf weed control. It provides over 1 lb. of Nitrogen per 1000 sq. ft. – which the Lawn Institute recommends.

Fred Meyer Weed & Feed contains 15% slow release nitrogen derived from Sulphur-coated Urea. The nitrogen is released over time as the sulphur is melted by either rainfall or irrigation.

Fred Meyer Weed & Feed contains a 3-way weed killer called Trimec. Trimec contains three different weed killers – 2, 4-D, MCPP and Dicamba. Trimec is a systemic herbicide that as well as entering the weed through the leaf surface, also enters it through the root. The synergy of the three herbicides controls a broader spectrum of weeds than products that only use two herbicides. An added benefit to using Trimec in Fred Meyer Weed & Feed is that it is a very slow and gentle herbicide. You won't see a lot of dead weeds in the lawn – but you WILL notice a weed-free lawn in two to three weeks!
