Perfect
for the Northwest...
"Storm" Petunias!
- Summer through
fall color
- Don't "melt"
like regular petunias from rain
showers or normal watering
- Keep their
shape without becoming leggy or
needing pruning
- Brilliant colors
All the glory of Grandiflora
Petunias without the suffering from
our "occasional" rain showers here
in the Northwest. These weather-resistant
petunias bloom up a "Storm" even after
inclement weather. And summer through
fall, they provide reliable color
even when you irrigate! Now you can
have petunias in all those places
where the lawn
sprinklers tend to "melt" regular
petunias.
Storm Petunias feature
very strong basal branching and sturdy
stems, so plants keep their shape
in the garden without becoming leggy
or needing pruning.
Just
like all petunias, Storms respond
to regular fertilizing -- slow release,
or repeat liquid fertilizer applications
keep them growing and blooming in
full force.
Great
colors for your "Joy of Gardening"!
Blue, Red and Violet compliment
the Stormy Weather Mix of Salmon,
Pink, Pink Morn, pure White and Lavender
-- the latter a Fleuroselect Gold
Medal winner.
While
much of the information in these tips
is applicable in several gardening
zones/climates, some of the plants
and timing suggested are best suited
to the Northwest, generally in the
mild/wet growing regions found along
the I-5 corridor. You should make
appropriate adjustments or consult
local gardening experts in regions
whose climates differ from this area
of the Northwest.
