To ensure the best quality for your information in Fred Meyer ads, here are a few requirements for e-mailing logos, images/artwork and text to us...

Logos should be vector-based. Vector graphics are the best choice for type (especially small type) and bold graphics (such as logos), which require crisp, clear lines so they can be scaled to many sizes.  Graphics created in Adobe Illustrator or FreeHand are vector graphics. These are the Fred Meyer programs of choice for logos.  Convert all fonts to outline form. Files should be saved in an EPS format. Supply both Black & White and Color versions if available. If possible, include a PDF of the logo for visual reference. Send only the logo requested.

Unacceptable Logos Preprinted Material that has been scanned into the computer, or a logo that has been copied from one program and pasted into Illustrator. You may need to contact the graphic artist who created the logo to obtain the original vector file.

Images should be saved as CMYK files. The Fred Meyer preferred program is Photoshop. Preferred image formats: EPS, JPEG or TIFF. Resolution: 300dpi or higher. Minimum digital image dimensions 6"x6". Image compression options: StuffIt or WinZip. If possible include a PDF of the image for visual reference. Send only the image requested.

Text Document Formats: Microsoft Word or Quark Xpress. If you send in Quark, beware -- we might not have your font in our system so we'll have to substitute a similar font.
