Having your business next to a Fred Meyer store guarantees you a huge benefit:
thousands of Customers coming to shop here daily. For 75 years, Customers have
counted on Fred Meyer stores for convenience, selection, service, quality, and low prices
for just about everything on their shopping lists. This unique brand of One-Stop Shopping
attracts thousands of people to each of our stores every day.
The professionals in the Fred Meyer Corporate Facilities Division use state-of-the-art
techniques to identify, acquire, and develop new stores or remodel existing locations. But
we also listen to what our Customers are asking for in identifying potential sites.
When designing new store sites, Fred Meyer often chooses properties that
allow us to offer both in-line tenant spaces for lease and adjacent building
pads for sale to help serve more of our Customer's needs.
We then lease to tenants and sell
the pads to compatible businesses like restaurants, banks, and other retail developers.
And though many try to copy this format that successfully combines a food store, clothing
store, home store, and more under one roof, Fred Meyer is still a unique place to shop in the U.S.
Corporate plans call for Fred Meyer to expand within our current trade
areas as well as seek new properties in potential markets. New sites should be
large enough to support our prototype store designs, which currently have building
envelopes of 128,000-160,000 sq. ft. plus substantial parking. Ideal sites typically range
from 8-14 acres, however in high-density urban markets we have succeeded on sites of less
than 4 acres. Convenient Customer access from freeways and major arterials is a top
priority. To receive more information on the site selection or site presentation process,
