How do I earn Fuel Points? |
1. You receive 1 Fuel Point for almost every $1 you spend at Fred Meyer (normal exclusions apply*). |
2. 2X Gift Card Points: Purchase third party gift cards at Fred Meyer, and you'll receive 2 Fuel Points for every $1 you spend. For example, $50 in third party gift cards = 100 Fuel Points (offer excludes Fred Meyer, Kroger, MasterCard®, Visa®, American Express®, Green Dot® and financial variable load gift cards, as well as Fred Meyer Visa® Prepaid Debit Card). |
3. For each eligible prescription you fill at a Fred Meyer Pharmacy, you'll earn 50 Fuel Points when you scan your Rewards Card at the time you pay for your prescription (excludes wholly or partially government-funded prescriptions). Prescriptions don’t earn Rewards Points. |
Do I need to register to earn Fuel Points?
No. To earn Fuel Points, simply use your existing Rewards Card the same way you do today, scanning it with every purchase you make at Fred Meyer.

How to use your Fuel Points...
Once you earn 100 or more Fuel Points in a calendar month for qualifying purchases at Fred Meyer, you may redeem up to 1,000 of them for one discounted fuel purchase (limited to 35 gallons and 1 vehicle). Fuel Points earned in one calendar month must be redeemed by the end of the following month.*

How does does it work at the pump?At a Fred Meyer Fuel Center, simply scan your Rewards Card at the pump and follow the prompts (in Oregon, a Fuel Associate will do this process). If you’ve earned enough Fuel Points to redeem, the display will ask, “USE $X.XX/ GAL REWARD? Y/N” |
| • | If you select NO or take too long to answer, you will receive the normal Rewards discount (3¢ per gallon) |
| • | If you select YES, you can then choose how many of your Fuel Points to redeem, in increments of 100 Fuel Points up to a maximum of 1,000 on a single fill-up. (Some people choose to split up their available Fuel Points between multiple fill-ups at Fred Meyer Fuel Centers.) |
Is there an additional savings if I use my Fred Meyer Rewards® Visa® Card?
Yes, at Fred Meyer Fuel Centers. If you scan and pay with your Fred Meyer Rewards® Visa® at one of our stations, you’ll save an additional 5¢ per gallon when you redeem your Fuel Points.* Introductory savings for new cardholders may be higher.Learn more here.
When will the discounted price show on the pump
After you have scanned your Rewards Card and selected your payment method you pick up the nozzle and the light begins to flash green. At that time the price rolls back to the price you will pay.
Do I have to redeem my available Fuel Points at the pump?No. If you choose to skip the discount and let your Fuel Points add up, you still get a 3¢ per gallon savings when you scan your Rewards Card at the pump.
What happens if I have Fuel Points remaining after a fill-up?
Fuel Points are available to use through the end of the following month in which they were earned, as long as you have at least 100 remaining Fuel Points earned in a calendar month.
Do my Fuel Points expire?
Yes. Fuel Discounts earned in the current month are available for use through the end of the next month. The best available fuel discount will always be offered.

Redeeming Fuel Points at participating Shell Stations
You can redeem Fred Meyer Fuel Points at participating Shell Stations in most cities.

• Not available in Fairbanks and Juneau, AK; Coeur d’Alene and Twin Falls, ID; Spokane, WA.; and Ellensburg, WA.
The maximum amount of available Fuel Points will be used when you redeem them at Shell.Shell fuel pumps don’t have the technology to offer you a choice of how many of your available Fuel Points to use in a single fill-up. So when you redeem Fuel Points at Shell, it will use the highest amount you have available, up to 1,000 Fuel Points. You only get to choose how many Fuel Points you use per fill-up at Fred Meyer Fuel Centers.
I scan my Rewards Card at Fred Meyer Fuel Centers, so why can't I at Shell Stations?Shell fuel pumps don’t have scanning technology. So to redeem Fred Meyer Fuel Points at Shell, either insert your full size Rewards Card (not the key fob size) in the card reader, or enter your 12-digit Rewards Card number (found on the back of your Rewards Card) on the pin pad. You can also enter your alternate ID (usually a phone number), if you‘ve registered it to your Fred Meyer Rewards Card.
To set up an alternate ID on your account, call Fred Meyer Rewards at 1-866-518-2686 anytime from 5AM-9PM Pacific Time, Monday through Friday.
Can I choose not to redeem Fred Meyer Fuel Points at the pump?Yes - at a Shell Station, simply don’t insert your Rewards Card or enter your alternate ID at the pump. Unlike Fred Meyer Fuel Centers, Shell Stations don’t offer a basic 3¢ discount for simply scanning your Rewards Card.
What about my extra 5¢ per gallon savings when I use a Fred Meyer Rewards® Visa®?** It’s not available at Shell Stations. You can pay with your Rewards Visa® at Shell, but the extra Fuel Savings are available only when you redeem Fuel Points and pay with your Rewards Visa® at a Fred Meyer Fuel Center.
